About Ursa Medicine founder Jenna Minnes

As a growing kid I experienced a lot of physical pain and sensations, and as a preteen I was in so much discomfort that I was tested for premature arthritis, which the results were thankfully negative. Instead of continuing down the medical diagnosis rabbit hole my parents were proactive in helping me to find relief with wellness modalities such as massage, muscle testing, chiropractic and nutrition. Now as a mid-life woman, I have come to understand that physical discomfort can be a manifestation of emotional and mental stress, in addition to how we can absorb energies that are not ours. I have found that this is true for many of us humans, as we live in a high intensity, stimulating and mentally demanding environment. I now see sensitivity as a gift as it has motivated me to live a body and movement inspired lifestyle, which is the medicine for my own relief and sharing this medicine with you has become my life's purpose.

I love this work and am happy to answer any questions you may have, whether you are simply curious or interested in booking your first session with me. It’s a joy to hold the space for folks as they travel through this series. My background in massage, yoga, sports and movement have been a huge support in this offering and I thank my teachers for sharing their knowledge with me.

Sessions are available in my office or in your home. I love helping you create an easeful environment for your wedding, bachelor, bachelorette, reunions, birthday and all of life celebrations in the North Lake Tahoe area.

I have over 3,000 hours of education and training in both bodywork and yoga combined.
